An enclosed 40W diode machine with a 400 by 415 mm work area, integrated air assist, an internal camera and a fume outlet on the back panel. The enclosure is the point: it drops the setup from Class 4 open frame to something that can legally sit in a shared room, with a lid interlock and filtered extraction instead of goggles for everyone nearby.
Diode power at 40W cuts plywood and dark acrylic in a pass or two and marks stainless with the right coating, which covers most personalised gift work. Compared with CO2 it is slower on thick stock and cannot touch clear acrylic or glass, but there is no tube to replace and no water loop to maintain. A reasonable second machine, or a first one for a business testing volumes before committing to CO2.
