MyHeritage DNA is a cheek swab kit, two minutes per cheek, and normally the cheapest of the big three when a sale runs. The ethnicity estimate covers 2,114 regions and DNA matching is included with no extra payment. The tests sit on top of a very large tree platform, so a new match often already has a public tree you can read that evening.

Strongest for European roots and for relatives living outside the United States, because the customer base is spread far wider than the American labs. Two catches. Historical records need a paid plan, and the free upload option means many matches tested somewhere else and never sign in again. For a clean sample the mouth has to be dry, so wait half an hour after eating or drinking.
