Ziollo builds this system around 100 percent silicone instead of acrylic. The large kit ships a 5 gallon pail plus two 1 gallon cans, four tubes of self leveling lap sealant and a roll of seam tape. Coverage is about 60 square feet per gallon, and one coat is the intended application. Silicone shrugs off standing water, which is where acrylic coatings usually give up, and no primer is needed on EPDM, aluminum or fiberglass. TPO roofs require the separate Ziollo primer.
Two things to weigh before ordering. The coating cures by moisture and stays slightly tacky at first, so dust and pine needles show on the finish. And once a roof is siliconed, only silicone will stick to it later. Suits an owner who wants one thick coat and years of quiet, less so someone selling the trailer in spring.
