Coursera does not sell a furniture design degree, but the audit option opens a good deal of adjacent material at no cost: interior design foundations, 3D modelling in 3ds Max with room and furniture exercises, colour and materials, plus design thinking courses from universities. Auditing gives the video lectures and readings; graded work and the certificate stay behind the paid track, and financial aid can be requested for individual courses.
Sensible for someone who wants academic framing, spatial planning and vocabulary before touching a saw, or for a career changer who needs a recognisable name on a profile later. Poor choice for pure craft: joinery, timber movement and finishing barely appear. Course quality varies by provider, and subtitles in some catalogues read like machine translation.
