Liquid Rubber sells water-based, solvent free waterproofing coatings for do it yourself projects: flat roofs, RV roofs, foundations, decks and ponds. The company works out of Oakville, Ontario, manufactures in North America and says it has spent about 20 years developing liquid sealing products. The range is sold as sets, not single cans: EPDM and TPO primer, seam tape, geo-textile, caulking, then the coating. The web shop ships free over $49.95 and quotes 3 to 5 business days in the US and 3 to 7 in Canada. Lowe's and Camping World also stock it.
Suits owners who like to measure the roof, order by square footage and roll it on themselves. Less suited to anyone in a rush or in poor weather. The coatings need several heavy coats to build a real membrane, dry warm conditions, humidity under 80 percent, and they must not freeze in the pail. The warranty lists many exclusions, so coverage rates and prep steps have to be followed.
