meteoblue is a Swiss company from Basel with university roots, and it sells forecast data to professionals as well as to the public. The consumer app gives multimodel comparison, the multimodel ensemble chart, hourly meteograms, and a clear reliability indicator that shows how much the models diverge. Wind, gusts, cloud levels, precipitation and sea state are all covered, with a global grid down to a few kilometres in many regions.
It is not a kitesurfing app and does not pretend to be: no spot chats, no kite specific ratings, no live beach anemometers. What it offers is honest probability, which experienced riders use to decide whether a forecast three days out is worth planning around. The charts take some learning, and the free version limits the more advanced diagrams.
