Motive, called KeepTruckin until 2022, is a San Francisco company that started with a free e-log app and grew into a full fleet platform. Its own site says more than 120,000 fleets use its ELD. The setup is an engine-connected Vehicle Gateway plus a driver app for hours of service, DVIR and IFTA mileage. AI dashcams, fuel cards and maintenance tools are sold on top. Review sites put plans at roughly $20 to $35 per vehicle a month, and Motive often runs free-hardware offers.
Small and mid-size fleets get the most out of it. The driver app is simple, and that means fewer calls from the cab. Big carriers with custom dispatch software should check integrations first. Read the term length before signing: the low monthly number can grow quickly once dashcams and other add-ons go on the bill.
