Korean workshop that has been turning out bows since 1975 and was spun off as Samick Sports in 1990. Two crowds meet in its catalogue: club archers after affordable ILF target risers and limbs, and traditional shooters chasing the Sage, a wooden takedown hunting recurve launched in 2005 that put trad archery within a beginner's budget. The line runs from the entry Polaris and Sage up to full metal target risers and Korean-made limbs.
A sensible first setup or a way to equip a whole club without emptying the wallet. Fit and finish sit a notch below the premium Korean and European names, and serious competitors will outgrow the target range. For casual hunting and field work the Sage and its successors hold up far better than the modest price tag suggests.
