Skedda started in 2013 as a venue booking tool and grew into a workplace platform used by over 12,000 customers, universities and manufacturers among them. The billing model is its calling card: you pay per bookable space, not per employee, with the Starter plan published at 99 dollars a month on annual billing and 15 spaces included. Rules are the strong side too: quotas, booking windows, restricted zones, neighborhoods, and check in by QR code, email confirmation or Wi-Fi presence detection.
A good pick when your policy is unusual and other tools keep forcing templates on you, or when hundreds of staff share a small number of desks. Offices with a handful of desks will find the entry price steep, and there is no permanent free plan, only a trial. Self serve plans require annual billing and each tier caps the number of spaces, so growth means moving up a plan.
