Ventusky, made by the Czech studio InMeteo, is a weather map with an unusually clean design. Wind streams, gusts, waves, temperature and rain animate over a globe, and you can jump between ICON, GFS, ECMWF and several national models in two taps. Point forecasts open as a simple hourly list, and the whole thing loads quickly even on a weak mobile connection.

Almost all of it is free, with a small paid tier that removes ads and adds a few layers. As a second opinion tool it is very good: check the pattern, see where the front sits, then go back to a spot focused app for the details. There are no kite spots, no tide tables tied to breaks and no community, so it cannot be the only app on the phone.
