A market data project first, a collection tracker second. WatchCharts follows live pricing for more than 10,000 references, publishes brand and overall market indexes, and aggregates listings from dealers and marketplaces. Watches added to a portfolio get an automatic value estimate, so the collection page reads like a brokerage statement: cost basis, current estimate, split by brand, movement of value over months.
Useful when purchases are made with resale in mind, or when an insurer asks for a figure per watch rather than a vague total. Less useful for the daily side of collecting: no rotation log, no service reminders, nothing about straps. Numbers are dependable on liquid models and shaky on rare or barely traded ones, and the mobile app covers less ground than the website.
