Since iOS 18 and macOS Sequoia, Apple's password store is a standalone Passwords app rather than a buried settings screen, and it costs nothing. Shared groups let a family put streaming, utility and Wi Fi logins into a common pool where everyone with an Apple Account can edit them, while passkeys, verification codes and Wi Fi credentials sync through iCloud Keychain with end to end encryption.

For a household entirely on iPhones and Macs this replaces a paid subscription outright, with autofill built into Safari and third party browsers via extension. It falls apart the moment someone uses Android, since there is no app for it, and Windows support depends on the iCloud for Windows extension. There is no admin oversight, no breach storage for documents and only basic export.
