1Password has been shipping since 2006 and its Families plan covers five people on one subscription, with extra members added for roughly a dollar a month each. Everyone gets a private vault plus the shared ones, and a family organiser can restore access when a relative forgets their master password. Travel Mode hides chosen vaults from devices crossing a border, Watchtower flags reused, weak and breached logins, and guest accounts let you hand one vault to a babysitter without exposing the rest.

It fits mixed households best: the Mac, Windows, iOS, Android and Linux apps are equally polished and passkeys sync across all of them. The trade off is the closed cloud, there is no self hosting, and the secret key model adds a step that less technical relatives stumble over during setup. Pricing sits above the open source options, which stings if six people only need a plain vault.
